Who we are

Book Kitchen is a cookbook publisher and book packaging studio — and yes, we do it all. We're the rare studio that bridges the world of trade publishing and custom book development, which means your book gets the same level of craft and care as the titles you find at your favorite bookstore. Because we've made those too.

We team up with food and beverage brands, chefs, publishers, and hospitality companies who want a book that's as polished as the products they put into the world — from the very first "what if we made a book?" conversation all the way to the finished, hold-it-in-your-hands product.

We’ve been selected as an IACP Cookbook Awards Finalist!

We’re thrilled to announce that “Spaghettata: Love and Pasta from Panicale” has been named a finalist for the prestigious IACP Cookbook Awards. Founded by Julia Child, the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) recognizes excellence in culinary writing and publishing.

Book Kitchen developed this book for the boutique hotel and olive oil company, Rastrello, based in Panicale, a medieval hilltown in Umbria, which has been called one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Once a month, the hotel’s restaurant welcomes guests and locals for a spaghettata—a pasta dinner—featuring recipes from a local grandmother.

When the hotel asked Book Kitchen to turn those treasured nonna recipes into a book, we responded with an enthusiastic “sì!” Along with recipes for the region’s favorite pastas, this beautiful tribute to a magical town and its beloved elders also includes traditional local desserts, along with tips, techniques, and tidbits of nonna wisdom.
